US 60 Closed Feb. 13-14 from I-10 to Hardy Drive

As part of the ongoing Broadway Curve construction, ADOT issued an alert that could affect drivers in and near Tempe on Feb. 13-14.

Eastbound I-10 will be narrowed to four lanes between Broadway Road and the US 60 (Superstition Freeway) and access to eastbound US 60 will be closed from 2 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, to 4 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, for roadway striping.

Also, eastbound US 60 will be closed from the I-10 interchange to Hardy Drive. The following ramps will also be closed:

  • The ramps from east- and westbound I-10 to eastbound US 60.
  • The southbound State Route 143 ramp to eastbound I-10.
  • The eastbound I-10 on-ramp at Broadway Road.

The westbound I-10 on-ramp at Baseline Road and the eastbound US 60 on-ramp at Priest Drive will remain open.

Details on detours for this closure and more alerts are online.

The I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project is ADOT’s largest urban freeway reconstruction project and is expected to run through 2024.

The Maricopa Association of Governments identified the need for this project to reduce travel times on I-10 during peak hours; improve airport access; support ridesharing and transit; and prepare the region for future growth projections. It is funded by the half-cent sales tax Maricopa County voters approved in 2004 through Proposition 400.
