Discover Science, Art & More at Geeks Night Out

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Tempe is gearing up for a return of Geeks Night Out, a free outdoor celebration of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM), from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 16 at the Tempe Community Complex, 3500 S. Rural Road.

This signature event of the Arizona SciTech Festival, sponsored by State Farm, allows everyone to explore the science in everyday things. It will include a long list of fun, educational, family-friendly attractions and demonstrations, including robotics, coding exercises, forensic crime scenes, science experiments, printing presses, artist and maker displays, live entertainment, food vendors and more.

More than 65 organizations will participate, including representatives from local schools and colleges, businesses and community partners, and about 2,000 are expected to attend. Free booth space is available; contact denise_rentschler@tempe.gov to inquire.
